Police Seek Assistance After Bank Robbery

Thunder Bay Police Service is looking for help as the investigation into a recent break-and-enter at a bank continues.

Police were originally sent to the Royal Bank branch at 640 River Street around 6:40 a.m. Monday morning. They arrived to learn that the bank had been broken into and an undisclosed amount of cash had been stolen.

Now involved in the investigation are the TBPS’s Break and Enter Robbery Unit and Forensic Identification Unit.

Anyone who lives in that area is being asked to contact police if they may have video surveillance or dash-cam footage that could help in the investigation. Police are specifying footage between 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 and 6:00 a.m. Dec. 6 could be helpful.

If you have any information, call 807-684-1200.
