The Thunder Bay Police Service is renewing its appeal for information about the disappearance of 67-year-old Joseph Alexander Lawson, two years after his last confirmed sighting.
Lawson, also known as Alex or AJ, was last seen on November 27, 2022, in the 200 block of Madeline Street.
Despite extensive efforts, investigators have exhausted all leads in the case and are once again turning to the public for help.
Lawson is described as an Indigenous man, approximately 5’6” tall with a medium build, long grey hair, brown eyes, and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a light-coloured North Face puffer jacket with a dark upper section, blue jeans, and black shoes.
Police have established a dedicated tipline at (807) 684-1055, offering a reward for information that directly leads to confirming Lawson’s whereabouts.

Lawson’s family continues to seek answers about his disappearance, and investigators are urging anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward.
