Police Reduce Public Interaction Over COVID-19

Another step has been taken by Thunder Bay police to reduce the risk of COVID-19 spreading between officers and the public.

Police say standard practice has often been to send officers to a call when someone dials 911.

Now, when a call is made, dispatch will determine the severity of the call, and if someone is not in immediate danger or a suspect is not around, the Patrol Support Call Back unit will phone the caller back, and take a report over the phone.

You can call police at 684-1200, or go to their website, to report non-emergencies.
