A 25 year old man is facing four charges including aggravated sexual assault and threats to kill after what police describe was a violent sexual assault from last month.
They say James Okane made a video court appearance on the weekend and was remanded in custody to the District Jail.
Police say the incident took place during the early morning hours on Cumberland street October 23rd.
They made a public appeal to help make the arrest and say they apprehended their suspect with the use of many resources including the OPP’s Behavioral Science Unit in Orillia.
There was also help from the public and businesses in the area who allowed police to view surveilance video.
