An investigation has begun surrounding a death on Highway 17 in Fallis Township.
The Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police along with Superior North EMS responded to a call Friday morning regarding a body near a vehicle on the highway.
Ornge Air ambulance was also sent to the scene, where the victim was pronounced deceased.
The deceased was then taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre, and they have been identified as 67-year-old Barbara Garton of Neebing.
A post-mortem has been scheduled to be conducted this week, as the cause of death is still unsure.
