Police Lay Murder Charge In South Side Death

A 47-year-old man is now charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 35-year-old.

The deceased man was found just before 8:30 a.m. Saturday in a laneway in the May Street South area.

Police say the victim and accused, who was later apprehended in a nearby apartment building, are known to each other.

The investigation continues with the Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Unit involved.

A post-mortem examination will happen December 20th.
