The Criminal Investigations Branch is investigating a homicide at the Travel Lodge. The murder investigation began just after 10 Friday morning, when staff discovered a 30 year old woman dead in one of the rooms. The room is being held as a crime scene and evidence at the location indicates the woman’s death was related to foul play. The exact cause of death is still to be determined pending a postmortem exam. A 33 year old woman is in custody and charges are pending. The name of the victim will be held until the next of kin are notified.
