A total of five people are facing drug and weapons-related charges after two separate incidents on the city’s north side.
The first took place early yesterday morning when police report they found two loaded handguns along with suspected prohibited ammunition storage devices, and what was believed to be cocaine at a residence on Junot Avenue near Melon Street.
A 24-year-old Thunder Bay man is charged.
In the second incident, police raided a residence on Trillium Way in the Academy Heights area last night.
They say a loaded handgun was seized along with a quantity of what they believe to be crack cocaine.
Three people from Thunder Bay, all in their twenties, along with a Toronto man are charged.
