Thunder Bay’s Police are in the red in their 2015 budget.
So far they are over their 36 million dollar budget by 195-thousand dollars.
Overtime, court time, and compensation are the culprits for some of the cost overruns.
Chief JP Levesque provided the Police Services Board with an update on their spending at this week’s meeting.
In a memo to the board, Levesque says strict restrictions have been placed on overtime as well as discretionary purchases. (File photo)
