Pink Shirt Day at the Station: Standing Together Against Bullying

Today, our team at the station is proudly dressed in pink as we join people across Canada in recognizing Pink Shirt Day—a day dedicated to promoting kindness, inclusion, and standing up against bullying in all its forms.

Pink Shirt Day began in 2007 when two Nova Scotia students organized a pink‑shirt campaign to support a classmate who had been bullied for wearing pink. Their simple act of compassion sparked a nationwide movement, reminding us how powerful it can be when communities choose kindness.

By wearing pink today, we’re showing our listeners—and each other—that our station is a place where respect matters, differences are celebrated, and everyone deserves to feel safe and supported. It’s a small gesture with a big message: bullying has no place here.

We encourage everyone tuning in to take part, whether by putting on something pink, reaching out to someone who might need support, or simply choosing to lead with kindness. Together, we can help build a community where empathy, understanding, and positivity take center stage.
