If you live on the city’s north side and have registered for a Christmas Cheer gift box, today is your chance to pick it up at the CLE’s Coliseum building.
Chair Joleene Kemp tells us they prefer you pick up your hamper on your assigned day, but they can be flexible.
“The important thing is picking up the gift box, and you come when you can get a ride. At 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18th, all of the elves put away everything and disappear for another year.”
Those who have registered on the south side for a gift box can pick theirs up on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Kemp tells us they couldn’t do it without their over 800 volunteers. “It’s an opportunity to do something, and I think that’s what people are looking for. They want to do one little thing so they can make a difference. We can’t solve the world’s problems, but we certainly can bring a smile to some faces.”
Yesterday’s 12-Hours of Cheer brought in $80, 620.00.
