Pharmacies Run Out Of AstraZeneca

Four pharmacies in the city that have been administering the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine have run out.

The owner of Oak Medical Pharmacy Jon Potvin tells us they depleted their vaccine supply last week.

“So right now we’ve expired through all of our doses and we’re just waiting for more vaccines to go through our wait list,” notes Potvin.

The pharmacy owner is not sure when his next supplies will arrive adding, “The Ministry (of Health) unfortunately at this point in time hasn’t given us any update on when we will be receiving the next allotment of vaccines or which vaccines those will be.”

Also confirming for our newsroom they have run out of vaccine are the pharmacists at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Red River Road and Dawson Heights Pharmacy.

The Court Street Safeway is telling people who inquire they too are out of AstraZeneca.
