Person In First Nation Newest COVID-19 Case

Another case of COVID-19 has been confirmed by Thunder Bay’s District Health Unit.

It admits there is not a whole lot of information about the 105th case, except to say it is a person in a Sioux Lookout First Nation community.

The Sioux Lookout Health Authority leads case management, but under provincial guidelines, this still falls under the Thunder Bay Health Unit’s case count.

The health unit is not saying whether it’s a man or woman, age, how they got the virus, or what treatment steps are being taken. According to its’ latest updated website, this is the only active case for the health unit, everyone else has recovered, and there has been one death.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
