This week would have been Chris Cornell’s 56th Birthday and in celebration of that, his widow has released a previously un-released cover of Guns N’ Roses hit ballad from the early 90’s – Patience. Cornell’s ballads have always had a bit of a ghostly quality to them, but this cover really gave me goosebumps. Cornell was a founding member and vocalist of Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog in the 90’s as well as vocalist for Audioslave in the early 2000’s which also featured members of Rage Against The Machine. Sadly, Cornell battled with depression and took his own life in 2017. Check out the cover below.
