Pandemic Funding Still Available For Some Businesses

There is a call for small and medium-sized businesses in Northwestern Ontario to apply for special FedNor funding.

Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP Marcus Powlowski explains not all of the $7.4 million in phase two of the Regional Relief and Recovery Fund has been spoken for.

“The 7.4 million has not been totally eaten up so they are still accepting applications,” notes Powlowski.

The Liberal MP tells us almost 50 businesses in the northwest will benefit from the funding.

He says some of the recipients of the funding so far include the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce, Superior Country, and Ontario’s Sunset Country Travel Association.

Powlowski believes if not for this funding some businesses could not survive adding he is not sure “What if any conditions are on the money other than to support them in their economically troubled times.”

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
