OPP and MNR conducting joint marine patrols

The Thunder Bay OPP say they have noticed a number of infractions as they’ve conducted marine patrols on local lakes.

That includes having open liquor, missing boating safety equipment and depositing waste on public lands such as throwing beer cans in the lake.

The OPP say their marine patrols are now working with MRN conservative officers to educate local residents and tourists about boating safety and fishing regulations.

In addition to alcohol screening, they will be doing fish inspections targeting Dog Lake and Kashabowie Lake.
