One rescued from house in Thunder Bay’s south side

No injuries are reported following a house fire in the Northwood area.

Members of the Thunder Bay Fire Rescue Service were called to the blaze on Limbrick Street at around 3 a.m. Saturday.

Smoke could be seen coming from the building.

A search by firefighters of the home located an individual inside who was safely evacuated.

The person was treated at the scene by paramedics before being transported to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for further treatment.

Fire officials say damage to the home was limited to the area of the home where the fire started.

The cause has not yet been revealed.
