One New Case In The Region

One new case of COVID-19 is being recorded in the Thunder Bay District Health Unit, bringing the active count to two.

It has not yet been determined how the case was obtained.

This is the first new infection since Tuesday, which was a result of travel outside of Northwestern Ontario.

Ontario is reporting 496 new cases of the virus, 334 of which are from unvaccinated individuals or those with an unknown vaccine status.

Currently, 87.3 per cent of Ontarians have at least one dose of the vaccine while 82.8 per cent are fully vaccinated.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
