October 1st is National Coffee Day

Isn’t it great that National Coffee Day fell this year on a Monday. While many of us don’t need an excuse to indulge in a steaming hot cup of coffee in the morning today we can raise a paper cup with pride and salute those who figured out how caffeine can help us get through a busy day.

Today we are celebrating with our good friends from Tim Hortons who have brought their mobile coffee truck to Thunder Bay for this special occasion. We will be at the corner of Arthur Street and Edward Street handing out coffee as of 6:00am until 9:00am. Stop by and say hi, grab a coffee and if you feel inclined make a donation to charity.

Here are a few fun facts to impress your co-workers.

1. Coffee comes from a seed, not a bean.

2. Coffee was the first food to be freeze-dried.

3. Espresso means “when something is forced out”.

4. Coffee stays warmer when you add cream.
