William Albert Foulds

May 19, 1942 – May 22, 2026

Mr. William “Bill” Foulds, aged 84 years, resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital with family by his side on Friday, May 22, 2026. Born on May 19, 1942 to Albert and Dorothy Foulds in Port Arthur, Ontario, Billy attended Prospect Avenue Public School and Hillcrest High School.

William married his love, Jane (nee Austin), on January 17, 1970, and they celebrated fifty-six years of marriage this year. He was a caring father to their son Darren, and adored his grandchildren Nathan and Thomas.

Bill was employed by Doran’s Beverages, eventually Pepsi Bottling Group, for thirty-seven years, retiring in 2002. Bill enjoyed playing slow-pitch, curling, golf, gardening, hunting and fishing, travelling, and spending time at the family camp on Whitefish Lake. Bill was a member of the Port Arthur Curling Club and was a founding member of The Voyagers Hunt and Fish Club.

William is survived by his wife Jane, son Darren (Jennifer), grandsons Nathan and Thomas, sisters Diane and Mary, brother-in-law James (Linda), nieces and nephews Rori, Doug, Lisa, Shannon, Ashley, Ryan, Kara, Jill, Zachary, Kelsey and Jesse.

He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Dolly Foulds, parents-in-law Ray and Ena Austin, sister Margie, brother-in-law Donald.

Cremation has taken place.

A graveside service for family and friends will take place on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 11:00am at Mountain View Cemetery, with Pastor Allan Piper presiding. A reception will follow at noon at the DaVinci Centre.
