Lorne Robert Blackshaw passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026 at the age of 79.

Lorne is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Darlene Blackshaw; daughters Shannon (Michele, favourite son-in- law) Rossi, Amanda and Elizabeth Blackshaw, and grandchildren Olivia, Landon and Hailey; sister Beatrice (Myles) Fucile, father-in-law Russell Romanick, sisters-in-law Sylvia Gratta and Angela Witiw, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by both his parents James and Lillian Blackshaw, brother Tom Blackshaw, mother-in-law Eleanor Romanick, brothers-in-law Fortunato Gratta and Orest Witiw.

Born in Port Arthur, Ontario on December 26, 1946. Lorne raised his family in Kaministiquia spending his free time outdoors hunting, fishing, hiking and going on motorcycle and snowmobiling adventures. Lorne loved trains, muscle cars, motorcycles and anything Ford. He would never pass up the opportunity to stop and take photos or talk shop at anything he spotted.

Lorne leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Cremation has taken place and no service will be held, as per Lorne’s wishes.
