It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden & unexpected passing of Kim MacLeod on May 27, 2026, at the age of 68. Born in Rivers, Manitoba, on July 20th, 1957, Kim later made her home in Thunder Bay & eventually Kakabeka Falls, the place she held closest to her heart. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, & friend, Kim will be remembered for her warmth, her generous spirit, & the loving home she created for those around her. She took great pride in caring for her family, found joy in gardening, reading, crafting, & flea markets, & had a special gift for making others feel welcome, comforted, & deeply loved. Kim leaves behind her beloved husband, Dave; her children, Carmen, David (Ellen), Duncan, & Megan (Ron) McDonald, Melanie Gottfred; her sisters, Karen Smude (John), Tina (Lee) Uszacki, and Lorri (Brian) Stoneman; her brother, Scott (Gina) Pelley; her grandchildren, Shannon, Marie, Alya, Avery, David, Alec, Ainsley, Lennox, Malcolm, Breelyn, & Tessa; her closest niece, Monica (Barry) DeGagne; & many nieces, nephews, & dear friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Marry Pelley and her father Reginald Pelley; Mother in-law Monica MacLeod Father in-law Duncan MacLeod, her sisters, Deborah Dolph and Janice Madore; & her grandson, Korben MacLeod.
A funeral service will be held on June 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Church in Kakabeka Falls, with Father Doug McClure presiding. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kim’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements entrusted to the Blake Funeral Chapel, 200 May Street S.
