On Nov 18th, 2025 the Lord called our dear, sweet mother, grandmother and great grandmother Janet to her heavenly home. She is now with her husband Eric and family that have passed on before her.
Growing up in the Fort Frances area she was always outdoors. She was an avid swimmer and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She later settled in Port Arthur and soon met her soul mate, Eric to whom she was married for 52 years. Janet’s faith and family were important to her. She was a longtime active member of Lappe Lutheran Church. She enjoyed travelling and visiting her siblings throughout Canada and the United States. Janet always welcomed everyone into her home. If coffee wasn’t already on; a pot would soon be brewing.
She leaves behind her six children, Linda, Karen, Doug (Shirley), Larry (Jodi), Wendy (Scott) and Tim (Bonnie), two brothers Stan (Marilyn) and Lorne (Jan), 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place, with a funeral service at Lappe Lutheran Church on Dec 9th at 1pm. Interment will take place at a later date.
