The Town of Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls says it’s pleased with the turn around in the operation of their provincial parks.
Both Sioux Narrows and Caliper Lake are close to breaking even on their operations.
Jeff Port is the town’s planner and says their annual Moose and Fiddle Music Festival is helping the bottom line at Caliper Lake.
He points out this year’s event saw record attendance.
“Our good problem at Moose and Fiddle now is we’ve pretty well hit our optimal attendance level, which is pushing 15 hundred over a two day period,” Port adds.
Port says they’ve started renting out seasonal camping spaces at both provincial parks, which has helped boost their annual revenues.
