City police are looking for a man they say robbed the Best Western Norwester early Tuesday morning.
The man armed with a knife and a can of bear spray demanded money from the hotel clerk and made off an unknown amount.
The employee was able to run to safety and was not injured.
Police are looking for a man with an average build wearing a black hoodie with large blue letters, a black toque, sunglasses and gloves.
Police will be working with local hotels and increasing patrols.
