Free credit monitoring services after a cybersecurity breach at a local credit union.
Northern Credit Union recently notified customers about a cybersecurity incident that saw personal information of customers was collected; account numbers, phone numbers and addresses along with customer’s social insurance numbers were obtained during the breach.
The credit union is offering customers two years of free credit monitoring services from Equifax and has since beefed up their security measures.
The credit union, which has two locations in Thunder Bay, has a special phone number allocated for customer’s questions — is 1-844-959-0471.
