No, you can’t have a BEAR as a pet, or an OSTRICH…

Today on MORNINGS IN THE BAY, John shared what the City of Thunder Bay deems as prohibited animals in your home / property.

Thunder Bay’s Animal Keeping By-law reads a bit like the world’s wildest “Do Not Adopt” list, banning everything from bears and non‑human primates to all marsupials, venomous reptiles, and most carnivores with even a hint of wilderness in their family tree. The city even gets specific: no raccoons, no skunks, no raptors, and—after much debate—no snakes from the Pythonidae or Boidae families, including the ever‑popular ball python.

In short, if it slithers, swoops, or could plausibly star in a nature documentary, Thunder Bay would prefer it not be hanging out in your living room.

Danny & John give the full rundown here. TRUST US…….you need to hear it in its entirety………you’ll have quite the chuckle. LOL.
