There will be no school buses running this morning following Tuesday’s snowstorm. All rural schools are closed, but city schools are open. The following rural schools are closed – Crestview, Five Mile, Gorham and Ware, Kakabeka Falls, McKenzie, Nor’wester View, Valley Central and Whitefish Valley. The Thunder Bay Christian School is also closed.
City work crews are out in full force following the largest dumping of snow this winter. Main arteries around the city are being cleared for the morning commute while many side streets are still full of snow.
Environment Canada reports that as of midnight just over 15 centimetres had fallen at the Thunder Bay Airport. Light snow is in the forecast until the noon hour.
