No Injuries In May Street Fire

Another reminder to never leave anything on the stove unattended.

Extensive fire and smoke damage was reported to the kitchen of a residential unit on May Street Wednesday.

The call came in at approximately 3:20 p.m. and fire crews called in a second unit to battle the smoke that was emanating from a second story window.

There was no damage to the commercial portion of the building.

There are no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
