Thunder Bay Police are investigating a fire Tuesday morning on Carl Avenue as a case of arson.
A police investigation into the cause of the fire determined it to be suspicious, and as a result members of the service’s Major Crimes Unit are now investigating it as arson.
Police are holding a scene as the investigation continues.
Fire crews were called to the scene just after 7:30 this morning. Two people were alerted to the fire and managed to escape from the building with no injuries.
First arriving units brought the fire quickly under control using a transitional attack that was located in the rear of the structure.
