The Township of Nipigon is getting a cash injection of about $950,000 from FedNor.
The regional economic development agency says it’s in support of the first phase of the community’s attempt to transform its Lake Superior waterfront.
The money will be used to design and build an observation tower and lookout area along with a boardwalk and outdoor events park.
Mayor Richard Harvey says the support will stimulate business investment and growth in Nipigon.
