New Waterfront Hotel Nears Capacity

The new waterfront Delta Marriott hotel is experiencing near full capacity, something which thrills the President of the company that built it.

Gisele MacDonald of the Resolve Group adds this is not normal for a new hotel, considering what head office told her.

“Marriott had told me to anticipate 35, 40-percent, and as we go, we’ll be open to ramp up. The pent up demand has been incredible.”

The hotel had its official grand opening last night.

“We created jobs, we didn’t take jobs. We created a significant tax base, and very simply put, we have always believed in Thunder Bay.”

She also feels God gave Thunder Bay the most beautiful view of any waterfront anywhere in the world.

“The ideal that we are put on this earth to make a better place to live. To make a difference for everyone here in Thunder Bay which we call home.”

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
