New COVID-19 Case Announced

A man in his 20s is the newest confirmed coronavirus case reported by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

The man is self isolating after he came into contact with someone who had the illness.

There are now nine active cases in the health unit’s region.

There have been 68 people who have recovered.

Looking at Ontario’s numbers, there are over 5,500 active cases, out of 19,944 total cases. There have been just under 1,600 deaths from COVID-19 in the province.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
