A local man will have to wait over a month to find out how long he will be behind bars.
Earlier this month, Nicholas Necan was found guilty of second degree murder in the death of George Gerard.
Necan will have his parole eligibility determined on April 9th.
The sentence for that charge is automatically life in prison but his lawyer is pushing for Necan to be eligible for parole after ten years.
