Nearly $1 Million In Drugs Found In South Side Home

Three people have been arrested and nearly $555,000 worth of drugs seized in a raid on the southside.

Thunder Bay Police searched a Pacific Avenue home Thursday as a result of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking.

Officers found nearly 5.2 kilogram of crystal methamphetamine, that’s the largest known seizure of crystal meth by the force.

Other drugs believed to be cocaine, and fentanyl, along with cash and paraphernalia were also found at the residence.

A 41-year-old man was released with conditions and a future appearance date.

Two others were in bail court Friday and are being held in custody until a future court appearance.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
