A local NDP candidate has no concerns about her chances in next month’s federal election after news that 14 party members in New Brunswick bolted to the Green Party.
Yuk-Sem Won believes the NDP is strong in northwestern Ontario and can overcome the bad publicity.
The federal candidate points to John Rafferty and Howard Hampton as members who have proven the New Democrats care about the concerns of the north.
She says “something like this doesn’t set me back.” and does not believe she will need to “look over her shoulder” at the Green’s this election.
