Municipal League Seeks Plastic Solutions

Municipal leaders in the Thunder Bay district are trying to get a grip on the amount of plastics in their landfills such as grocery store bags.

Spokesperson Rick Dumas says at a recent meeting the voted to begin the process of seeing how leaders in each community can begin to achieve that goal.

He notes the leaders will go back to their communities to discuss possible solutions to rectifying the problem

From there Dumas says members of the District Muncipal League will revisit the issue at meetings in September and October.
