Help Touted For Bombardier Workers

Thunder Bay Atikokan’s MPP is working on ensuring support services will be in place when Bombardier lays off most of its workforce in November.

Judith Monteith-Farrell tells us she will be working with the Ontario government to ensure services like OHIP plus will be available to the families who will now be without a company benefit plan.

The NDP-MPP says she will also work on matching laid off workers with companies in the northwest looking for employees.

Monteith-Farrell adds she has been in contact with the union and the company about their employment situation and will continue to do so in the months leading up to the layoffs.
