MP Denies Internal Emails Were Critical

No apologies from the Liberal MP for Thunder Bay-Rainy River.

Marcus Powlowski tells us internal emails he sent early in the pandemic were not meant to be critical of the government’s response to COVID-19, but rather observations.

“The party has been pretty good actually, I haven’t really been chastized by the party I think they realized what happened and hopefully they, like I, know this is the job of a member of parliament to stand up for his constituents,” noted Powlowski.

The emails were made public by the government after the House of Commons passed a motion that required all documents related to COVID-19 to be released.

They were then published by conservative-leaning news agencies.

One of the emails, according to the MP, involved concerns over the lack of ventilators the country had during the first wave of the virus.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
