Environment Canada is warning us a big snowstorm is heading our way Friday night.
They say a low-pressure system is bringing with it around 15-25 cm of snow. The storm is going to impact the City of Thunder Bay, Cloud Bay, Dorion, Kakabeka Falls, Whitefish Lake, Arrow Lake, Nipigon and Rossport.
Meteorologist Gerald Cheng tells us “as you wake up Saturday, you’ll be waking up to a blanket of snow. Just for a 12-hour period Friday night 15 centimetres of snow is expected to fall. Saturday another 10 cm is expected.”
They add strong gusting winds that will also cause a lot of local blowing snow which will mean poor driving conditions.
