Old man winter is paying Thunder Bay another visit with up to 10cms of snow tonight.
Environment Canada meteorologist Gerald Cheng is blaming a Colorado low for pushing the snow here along with 50kms an hour wind gusts. “It’s going to start very early in the morning, in the wee hours, everybody will be waking up to snow. It’ll be at its most intense in the morning, but easing off in the afternoon.”
He’s predicting the big mass of weather to arrive around 3 or 4 o’clock in the morning. “Stretches anywhere from Thunder Bay all the way towards North Bay and Sudbury. So, if you are heading east I advise you to change your plan, because they are under a winter storm warning.”
The Environment Canada meteorologist expects road conditions to get quite slippery in Thunder Bay, so everyone will have to adjust to the conditions.
