More Room, Machines At Superior Shores Gaming

Don’t forget your COVID-19 proof of vaccination if you plan to go to Superior Shores Gaming.

Ontario lifted capacity limits for certain locations Monday, provided they continue to check patrons for both doses or a note of medical exemption.

“Prior to (the announcement), we were at capacity limits so I didn’t want to do too much promotion or advertising because I didn’t want to turn people away,” explains General Manager Joe Brizard. “But now, this allows us to turn all our machines on because we had every second machine that wasn’t operating, and we can allow more people in the bingo hall.”

The facility at 435 Memorial Avenue has been able to utilize all of it’s staff members to screen visitors.

“Everybody has pitched in whenever they had a free half hour in their shift, they would switch off for each other,” Brizard noted. “I haven’t been given any mandate to change (the screening process) it at this point, we’re probably still going to follow protocols just to ensure the safety of both our staff and customers.”

On November 15th, the province plans to lift the limits in the remaining higher-risk settings where proof of vaccination is required, which includes food or drink establishments with dance facilities, strip clubs, bathhouses and sex clubs.
