Ontario has 135 new correctional officers.
They graduated from the Ontario Correctional Services College in Hamilton last week.
The Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services says some will be deployed to the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre along with the Thunder Bay and Fort Frances jails, but doesn’t indicated exactly how many.
The province plans to add 2,000 correctional officers over the next three years.
678 have been hired so far.
