At least 13 new forest fires are the result of a hot weekend in northwestern Ontario.
The Ministry of Natural Resources says those high temperatures were also accompanied by high humidity.
The fires were reported in the districts of Thunder Bay, Nipigon, Sioux Lookout, Fort Frances and Red Lake. Forty-nine remain active.
The ministry says Red Lake Fire Number 50 is not under control and is 109 hectares in size.
