UPDATED: Moderna The Second Dose

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is making the switch to Moderna vaccines this week.

Officials indicated Monday that the change is temporary and can be blamed on a delayed shipment of Pfizer doses from the province of up to three days.

The health unit will continue to use the Pfizer doses for youth between the ages of 12 and 17 as that is the only vaccine approved in Canada for use in individuals in that age bracket.

If you had your first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on or before May 9 you are now eligible to secure an appointment through the health unit’s website while times at the Bora Laskin building can be found through their website.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
