The Thunder Bay Airport is getting some new federal cash.
Transport Canada’s Airport Fund is giving the Airport $1.7 million. The money is designated for essential services and airport operations.
In addition, $395,000 is going to the airport to purchase another snowplow truck as well as a runway scraper.
FedNor is also putting up $1.5 million which will be used to upgrade HVAC, lighting and replace the two aging escalators in the terminal building.
