The Matawa Chiefs Council supports recent recommendations on improving the systemic racism in the local police force.
They want to see all parties involved move forward with implementing them in a timely matter.
The Chiefs Council sees the report as a positive step for their students and families who want to have a better degree of comfort in having their children reside in the city while receiving their education.
They close saying they support the recommendation to re-investigate the case of the late Jordan Wabasse in the manner recommended so that this family could receive the justice they felt they have been denied.
