Thunder Bay Spared Brunt Of Snow

Not as much snow has fallen on Thunder Bay as anticipated by Environment Canada.

Meteorologist Crawford Luke tells us the city has received roughly 4cms, as of 5am, Thursday morning, with a few more centimetres scattered throughout the morning.

He adds the worst has fallen in the Atikokan area, with 10cms.

Further north, along Highway 11, from Geraldton and beyond, just a light sprinkling.

There’s also been a bit of freezing rain into the mix.

As for traffic, Thunder Bay police have no problems to report, and there is nothing to note for the area on Ontario 511.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
