According to a report by LowestRates.ca, 63 per cent of Canadians use a credit card to do their shopping during the holiday season.
The online company examined the credit card usage of over 1,300 people.
When it comes to budgeting, 26 per cent of Canadians go over their holiday spending limit.
39 per cent of them will have debt after Christmas is over.
12 per cent will have that debt for two to four months, and 8 per cent will still be paying it off for up to a year.
