Manslaugher charge laid against Montreal man

Thunder Bay Police have now laid a charge of manslaughter related to an incident that occurred in the city’s south side last month.

A 24-year-old man from Winnipeg was taken to hospital after emergency services responded shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday, February 11, to a person requiring medical attention on Valhalla Inn Road.

The man later died in hospitals as a result of the injuries sustained.

A 35-year-old man from Montreal was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

The charge was upgraded after he made a court appearance last week.

He is back in court at the end of the month.
